Mercedes SPA

Mercedes-Benz approached Razorfish interested in learning how they can provide their corporate customers with precise, real-time estimates on what incentives were available to them through their Customer Fleet Program. Until now, representatives either had to walk out on the lot, find the vehicle in question, write down the VIN Number, and then head back to their desk and face the dark abyss that was their Sales Assist Intranet Portal. Even worse, sometimes that didn't work and customers were asked to fill out a lengthy application form.

Working in sprints, our iOS team created the Sales Program Assist app. My responsibility was to create a design system with a strong typographical hierarchy that helped the user digest and relay dense information, efficiently and effectively.

01. Enter Vin

Upon logging in, the user is prompted to enter the VIN number the the vehicle they are seeking information on. They are presented with the option to enter the number manually, or by opening the camera and scanning the number directly of the vehicle.

02. Select Sales Event

Once the application has registered the VIN number, the vehicle's information will populate and the next step of the process will begin. The user will then select the Sales Type in which they wish to apply to the vehicle from an overlay menu – only Sales Types that apply to the vehicle will display in the menu.

03. Corporate Account Registry

Once the user has identified the Sale in which they wish to apply the vehicle, they'll have to register their Corporate Account Number (CAN). Considering most customers know their number, the option to manually enter it is featured, but we also incorporated a list of the most common CAN numbers used as well.

04. Contract Rates

Once the Corporate Account Number has been validated, the application will load all Contract Rates Programs that are applicable to the vehicle based on the previously selected Sales Type and CAN. Each Rate Program is represented within an expandable tile. Tiles by default are unexpanded, and unselected. When the user selects a tile, it appears outlined in green and the check-button inside is filled.

05. Profit

Finally, once a Contract Program is selected, we're ready to calculate a custom and accurate incentive package. The application dynamically populates this selection process with qualifying Cash Programs that the user is prompted to select from. Once selected, the user is driven to a complete summary overview of all selections that have been made, with a final Special Program Summary of how much of an incentive is offered on a specific purchase.
